This is now my favorite movie of 2009, it's way better than Wolverine.
The movie was more than two hours, but the plot and pacing does not drag so you're not conscious of the length. Storytelling by the director is good, mixing action with a little comedy and drama plus special effects very smoothly, aided by competent actors. Credit to the writers, the director and the cast.
Strange, though, to see a love story between Spock and Uhura unfolding. They might explain... -

First time to see anything in this series. The funniest parts of the movie are when Vin Diesel tries to act emotional, with eyebrows quivers and such. Paul Walker looks good, and at least conveys that he enjoys cars. Michelle Rodriguez dies too soon, Jordana Brewster looks like Demi Moore's sister.
There was not enough cars nor races, but at least they were able to keep me guessing as to who the villain really was.

Opened today, watched the 15:40 show. It's far distant from the original anime, maybe just a tenth of the excitement of an episode in the series. The best fight scene is in the final second of the last fight. However, it was not enough to justify sitting through the rest of the movie. The quirky world of Son Goku has been replaced with a western high school milieu, maybe they were trying to remake The KarateKid?
